It has been said in so many ways. The Chinese said… "the longest journey starts with but a single step". Another way of saying it goes like this… "all things give away to a steadfast mind". There is very little you can't accomplish, if you want it badly enough… if you’ll work to do it or get it… if you'll have enough faith to get it started. Samuel Johnson said this… "all the performances of human art at which we look with praise and wonder, instances of the resistless force of perseverance; it is by this that the quarry becomes the pyramid, and that distant countries are united by canals. If a man wants to compare the effect of a single stroke of a pickax, or of one impression of a spade, with the general design and last result, he would be overwhelmed with their disproportions; yet those petty operations, incessantly continued, in time, surmount the greatest difficulties, and mountains are leveled and oceans bounded, by the slender force of human beings.”
