It is amazing to me how many people I know who are completely insensitive to beauty of person. I don't mean pure physical beauty for that is to be found everywhere and is often a shallow and artificial thing. I mean that inner beauty… beauty of heart… beauty of mind… beauty of soul.  This quality is a rare and wonderful thing to find in a person. Someone with this kind of beauty can light up the darkest room simply by walking into it. She can bring happiness with a simple word or smile. She cannot speak or make a move that is not touched with grace and charm, and her presence can bring warmth and comfort to even the most destitute soul. A person with this inner beauty seems to give reassurance that there is still a great deal of value in the simple, gentle things of life. In a world that so often shows only its most violent side, she gives a new and important meaning to the sometimes long forgotten virtues we learned at our mothers knee. Such a person is like a rose growing among the thorny bushes. She gives the impression that come what may, she will forever remain untouched by the sordid, ugly, the bitter, the distasteful things of life which sooner or later seem to Chipaway the idealism of our youth full years. It is a great pity that there are not more such people on the face of this world earth. A greater pity that so few of us recognize and fully appreciate such qualities in a person where they do exist, for such a person can bring us great happiness not by doing, but simply by existing.
